Home Reel Resume Scooter Grip

It's the beginning of Nov.04 and I just finished playing a bartender that gives out really bad advice for a Beefeater Gin commercial. I hope it is funny and gets on the air. Last week I starred in a trippy short film dealing with dreams. I can't wait to add it to my reel.

Stian as Griffith Gaunt
On the set of 'Griffith Gaunt', an indie feature currently being edited.

I play the part of 'Max', a lead role, in this film shot in & around NYC. I also do some scooter riding stunts. This was the last film Quentin Crisp had a role in before he died. I was lucky enough to have a small scene with him. He was a very cool dude.

That's me in a supporting role on the poster.

"American MOD" is now airing on national television in the U.S. on the Sundance channel
through summer 2005 both by itself and included in the "SHORTS PROGRAM 100" show.

These are stills from a comedy short i starred in. It's called "Pissed" and I got a QuickTime version of it on my 'Reel' page.

Sunday Feb.9th at 9am i went to the Waldorf Astoria and stood in a line outside for what felt like a couple of hours, freezing my tail off. About 350 people came there to audition for a new reality show on NBC called 'Next Action Star". Some 8 or 9 hours later i got my chance to audition, i was one of the last ones through. I must have the look they were after because i made it to the next round which meant i had to return the next day at 2pm. Only 59 made it that far. It didn't feel like such a big deal when i didn't really do anything to get that far. I came out on the little stage and threw a couple of kicks and punches. Monday night's audition was different because they gave us a short scene to act. I was nervous as hell but flubbed my way through it good enough to keep going. When they said "you are going on to the next level" It didn't really register. I just stood there like an idiot. I was busy kicking myself for being nervous and not nailing the performance. Now i wait for many weeks while they finish doing this at more major cities and then choice only 30 from the ones who have made it as far as i have. I think there was about 15 from NYC. It's suppose to air in May, i think. Or at least they are going to start showing the auditions scenes then. Not sure about that but there will be info on their website. www.nextactionstar.com 2/14/03

Update 9/22/03: So a lot of time has gone by without hearing a word. I finally called the casting guy to find out what's up.  He said the show has finished taping and should air sometime in the future, pending some legal scuffle over who's concept it was in the first place. Anyways, I doubt i will even be in the final cut when it airs because my release form was not requested from the casting dept. Oh well, it felt good while it lasted.
